The next installment of Tuesday Topics! This week we’re down to 4 – 4 Things People Don’t Know About Me. Prepare to be shocked, folks!
1. I have a weird fear of driving over bridges. My heart gets a little racy every time I start crossing over a river or stream or even a pond. I am convinced I am going to somehow crash and go over the bridge into the water. I have no idea where this fear came from. It started some time in my early twenties, I think. I had it all under control for awhile because I had figured out an escape plan. If I started to go over, my plan was to first get my window down because power windows might not work when my car hits the water. Then I would undo my seatbelt and escape out the open window. Whew – crisis averted, right? Then I had a kid. Who rides in my car. Whole new level of panic. So I even figured out my escape plan with getting Roo out of his car seat and to safety with me. Then I had another kid and figured I was just screwed if I went over a bridge because there is no way I can get myself and two kids out of a sinking vehicle and swim to a river bank. So I’m back to panicking when I drive over bridges. Good thing I live in a state surrounded by water, huh?
2. Now that I’ve embarrassed myself with my irrational fear, I’ll share something to redeem myself a little. I graduated magna cum laude (3.8) with my Bachelor’s degree, and summa cum laude (4.0) with my Master’s degree. Yep, I’m a bit of a smarty pants when it comes to school. Mostly because it involves a vast amount of reading and writing – two things I don’t mind doing and am pretty decent at!
3. Despite feeding my kids very healthy food and planning some pretty balanced and nutritious meals at my house (check out my weekly meal plans and Monday Muffin Tin Meals!), I absolutely love fast food. I know it is horribly bad for you, and I know it is not “real” food, and half the time it makes my stomach hurt, but I love it. I have favorite menu items at every fast food joint and will savor every greasy, salty, fat-laden bite.
4. I am addicted to playing Words With Friends right now. I have about five games going at this minute and wish I had more. The Coach will catch me hiding my phone and trying to play a word when we are watching a show or a movie together. I am forming words as I wait for the oven to preheat or the water to boil for dinner. I am playing a word as the kiddos brush their teeth. I just recently started playing, so the obsession will eventually wear off some. About a year or two ago I was obsessed with the Majong Trails game on Facebook. Couldn’t stop playing and actually went out and bought a mouse for my laptop so I could play better. I rationalize that at least I am using my brain and fending off Alzheimer’s. Right?
Tell me something I don’t know about YOU!

ummm i have the same fear as you!! i hate driving over bridges or under tunnels, etc. when i was younger we drove over the mississippi river and i swear it was the longest bridge ever lol
happy tuesday!
I thought I was the only one! Glad to know someone else is as crazy as me! Haha! Thanks for stopping by, Victoria!
I love Words with Friends. Have you ever played Scramble with Friends? It is like Boggle! So much fun! You are amazing with the weekly planning! I need//want to be doing that!!
Thanks! I’m a planner by nature, so I get a little antsy if I don’t have a plan! Kind of a necessity for me to keep my sanity! Haha! I haven’t tried Scramble, but I’ve seen the ads for it! Sounds like something I would get hooked on!
