Pizza Pie in a Muffin Tin!

My Muffin Tin inspiration has still not returned. So this week, our muffin tin meal was not really a meal in a muffin tin. Rather, it was a meal prepared using a muffin tin in the preparation. Tricky, I know. :)

I had a roll of pizza dough in my fridge that I needed to use before it expired. So I grabbed some pizza toppings and put them in the muffin tin cups. I then divided the dough into mini pizzas for each of us, and we all went to town fixing our own pizzas. Here was my muffin tin of toppings:

In our muffin tin: pineapple, mushrooms, pepperoni. ham, black olives, and tomato

Roo is my pickier eater, so I had to tell him the rule was he had to pick three things to put on his pizza. He chose pepperoni, ham, and a single piece of pineapple. My literal child argued that it was a third topping. I sighed an “ok.” Monkey, on the other hand, put everything on his pizza. And then also ate about half of the can of black olives and half the can of pineapple while we were waiting for the pizzas to bake.

The boys loved making their pizzas and ate great. Roo ate all of his and Monkey ate about half, but as I mentioned he was snacking on toppings while we were baking. Here’s a couple picks of the fun times (notice Monkey is eating in both of them!). :)

  1. We have done this before (at least 2 times). The girls love it. We also have dessert pizza at the same meal. I also use English muffins.
    Yummy toppings by the way

    • Thanks! I had forgotten about making English muffin pizzas! I’ll have to see if my kids like those!! And what a fun way to do a pizza theme – with dessert pizza, too! Thanks for stopping by and commenting! I love your ideas! :)
